Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common type of arrhythmia clinically, and previous AF management has focused on the prevention of AF-related embolism and the control of ventricular rate and rhythm. In recent years, the concept of integrated management of AF is gradually popularized. Integrated management of AF emphasizes the prevention of AF-related embolism and symptom control, as well as the improvement of patients′ quality of life and the treatment of complications at the same time, so as to further improve the prognosis of patients. This article reviews the anticoagulant therapy, symptom management, and control of risk factors in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
