“Clinicopathological Conference” column wins warm praise from readers. The success of this column in medical journals is very significant in servicing health care career, educating young medical trainees, and advancing journals influence. In this paper, we summarized the experiences in establishment, development and perfection of “Clinicopathological Conference” column in Chinese Journal of Multiple Organ Diseases in the Elderly. The “Clinicopathological Conference” column can be successfully developed by balancing the interests of readers, authors, and journals. It may offer some suggestions for developing special column in journals.
