    Abstract:

Radiotherapy is widely used in clinical practice as one of the main treatment modalities for thoracic malignancies. Due to the special anatomical location of the heart, radiotherapy inevitably exerts adverse effects on the cardiovascular system, causing radiation-induced heart disease (RIHD). Clinically, no effective drugs are available to prevent and treat RIHD, and the side effects of Western Medicine are obvious. However, Traditional Chinese Medicine has shown great potential in its prevention and treatment. Therefore, this article summarizes the progress of Chinese Medicine in the prevention and treatment of RIHD.
