Abstract:
Falls are the leading cause of death from injuries in the elderly. The incidence of falls is high in the patients with Alzheimer′s disease due to cognitive impairment. Specific measures to prevent falls can be divided into non-drug-related and drug-related, and the former can be divided into stimulation-oriented and behavior-cognition-oriented. Pharmacological measures include drug dosage changes, drug combination and immune-related measures aiming at reducing amyloid protein.
