    Abstract:

Chymase, as a serine protease, is mainly secreted by mast cells. It has multiple biological effects and is invloved in a variety of human diseases. Numerous studies indicated that chymase plays an important role in the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis. In this paper, we reviewed its structure, distribution characteristics, biological effects, and its close relationship with liver fibrosis, so as to understand its roles in the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis.
