    Abstract:

Psychological insulin resistance may cause refuse or nonadherence to insulin therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), which leading to exacerbation of the condition. Recognizing and addressing psychological insulin resistance is crucial for improving treatment adherence and enhancing the quality of life in the patients. In this article, we provided a comprehensive review on the concept, current status, and influencing factors of psychological insulin resistance, as well as evaluation tools and intervention measures. We aimed at raising clinical awareness of its significance, optimizing blood glucose control, and reducing the incidence of complications in order to provide a theoretical framework for enhancing therapeutic efficacy and quality of life among T2DM patients.
