    Abstract:

Stroke is the second leading cause of death all over the world, and also a major risk factor for disability in elderly people. Preventing and delaying disability is key to promoting healthy aging. In order to change the current situation of “one disabled, whole family out of balance”, our country is vigorously carrying out a reform oriented rehabilitation project with Chinese characteristics, which combines medical care and nursing care to strengthen long-term care for disabled elderly people. In this article, we reviewed the application of integrated medical and nursing care in the rehabilitation of disabled patients after stroke in order to provide reference for their rehabilitation.
