    Abstract:

Postmenopausal women are at increased risk of cardiovascular diseases due to decreased estrogen levels. The prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) increases with age, and the disease is common among postmenopausal women. Postmenopausal women with CKD are vulnerable for heart failure. In this review, based on the clinical trials and basic research, we focused on CKD in relation to the mechanism of heart failure among postmenopausal patients, aiming at a better understanding of the condition, and future orientation for further studies.
