A pneumonia outbreak caused by 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was first reported in December 2019, and then subsequently reached all over the country with rapid spread and high contagiousness. The elderly patients who have been hospitalized for a long term are a quite special group. How to manage them during the epidemic period is of great significance for the control and protection of the disease. This paper summarizes the prevention and management strategies of long-term hospitalized elderly patients during the epidemic.
