    Abstract:

    There are various factors influencing coagulation function during operation. Nowadays, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), platelet (PLT) count, fibrinogen (FIB), parameters from other conventional coagulation tests and from thrombelastography (TEG) are common indicators for coagulation function assessment. However, tests for those traditional indicators can only monitor some parts of clotting, and thus, the indicators can not reflect the dynamic changes of blood coagulation. So it is impossible to determine the causes of abnormal coagulation. Thrombelastography, a rapid, accurate, all-sided, and dynamic method to monitor the whole process of coagulation, can evaluate the coagulation function rationally in perioperative period and provide theoretical basis for clinical treatment.
