| Abstract: |
| “Population aging” is a worldwide tendency. China is one of the fastest aging countries in the world. It is a success of development but also presents a medical and social challenge. In this article, we discussed the updating concept, the implemention mode, and the major concerns of geriatric health services management. The geriatric health services management should be carried out in the following spirit:individual-oriented management, whole-process management, all-round management, all-aspect management, whole population health education, and multidisciplinary participation. The geriatric health services management should take advantages of “multidisciplinary health care mode” and “Internet Plus” platform. To promote an age-friendly health services system, the following points should be all taken into consideration:chronic diseases prevention, comprehensive geriatric assessment, early rehabilitation training, home health care, and palliative care services. |
